This is the primo time to camp in the mountains. The water tables should still be decent, springs should be flowing. I'd like to do a Rincon trip but I have neither the $$ or the time to takea proper 4 day trip.
Actually, if I had my way (and a pile of cash) I'd corrall horses at the base of the Rincons (in X9 preferably) and do horseback trips whenever I felt like it. Horseback camping rocks the house---even better if you have a spare horse to use as a pack horse (you have to carry horse food in the Rincons)
